Full-Arch Restorations (All-on-X)

Full-arch work is a team sport inside the lab: dedicated implant technicians, a prototype-first workflow, and multi-level sign-off before an arch leaves the building.

What we offer & who it is for

For practices and implant centres delivering full-arch treatment, and for laboratories outsourcing All-on-X production with a controlled try-in workflow.

Practical guidance for your prescriptions

  • Photograph the try-in in position and mark adjustments - this feedback drives the final design.
  • A verification jig/index at the multi-unit level prevents position drift between stages.
  • Vertical space below ~12 mm usually pushes the design toward a hybrid rather than full zirconia.
  • Agree the tooth arrangement at try-in stage - changes after final milling mean a remake.

Reference figures are widely accepted industry values for the material/system class - case-specific parameters are confirmed at design. Reviewed by the Istar case coordination team.

Indications & limits

Full-arch cases move through a try-in stage before final production - skipping it is possible only at your documented request.

Surgical-day delivery dates are coordinated at case acceptance; rush handling is by prior written arrangement.

What to submit with your case

  • Implant system, platforms and multi-unit abutment information
  • Scan body data for every position
  • Records for the prototype stage: jaw relation, lip line, photos
  • Tooth mould/shade and aesthetic expectations
  • Delivery date requirements (surgical day coordination)

How the case is made & checked

Case acceptance with a stage plan and dates
Prototype (printed/wax) verifying occlusion, lip support, tooth position, phonetics
Try-in feedback written back into the design file
Final production: bar/hybrid or zirconia arch
Double sign-off: production QC plus senior review against model, scan and approved prototype
Shipment with component list, torque values and seating instructions

Final arches pass two release levels: standard production QC plus an independent senior review comparing the restoration against the model, the scan and the approved prototype.

Production time & shipping

Full-arch cases take 7-10 lab days across their stages plus shipping, with the plan confirmed at acceptance. Waiting for try-in feedback is excluded from production time.

Real cases

All-on-X interim-to-definitive two-stage plan

Hybrid interim delivered for the surgical window; patient feedback from the healing period fed the definitive zirconia arch design.

Pricing & fees

Full-arch work is quoted per case: restoration type, components, try-in stages and rush requirements are all line items confirmed before production. Freight and duties separate.

If something goes wrong

Laboratory-side remakes are covered free of charge - see the full remake & warranty policy. Every remake starts with a root-cause analysis you are part of.

Frequently asked questions

Zirconia or acrylic hybrid for a full arch?
Hybrids are lighter, cheaper and easier to adjust; zirconia is stronger and longer-lasting. Many clinics deliver a hybrid interim first and a zirconia definitive later - we plan the two-stage path with you.
How many try-in stages does a full-arch case need?
One well-run prototype try-in resolves most cases; complex functional cases may benefit from a second. The plan is built with you at case acceptance.
What does your full-arch workflow look like?
Prototype-first: scan and records review, then a digital design you confirm, a milled prototype or try-in stage to verify aesthetics and occlusion, then the final arch in the agreed material. Each stage ships with photos so the case can be approved chairside.
Which materials can a full-arch be made in?
Monolithic or layered zirconia, hybrid designs on a titanium bar, and acrylic-on-bar options. The choice is driven by the implant positions, vertical space and budget - we advise per case at design stage.
What records do you need to start a full-arch case?
A full-arch scan (with scan bodies if implants are placed), bite registration, facebow or report if available, and photos of the smile and existing condition. Implant positions and multi-unit abutment levels must be clearly captured.
How are try-in adjustments fed back to you?
Photograph the try-in in position, mark adjustments on the photos or note them, and send with the re-scan if tooth positions changed. We apply the feedback to the final design and send the updated preview for confirmation.
